A huge thank you to everyone who attended or participated in the 2023 Spring Auction. We raised over $14,000!
The auction is one of NDE’s biggest fundraisers, and it really is a fun community event, featuring food, entertainment, and of course, an auction. In 2023 we provided a shuttle service for all ticket holders and children that ran from North Davis Elementary to Ruhstaller Farm every half hour.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the auction?
We are glad you asked! It’s our school’s largest fundraiser and a chance to buy fun experiences and items at a discounted price. Our auction is family-friendly at Ruhstaller Farm this year, and we are hoping our North Davis families join us for a fun, relaxed evening.
Where do I get tickets?
You can order online at https://www.eventbrite.com/…/bids-at-the-barn-spring… or turn in the form that went home with your child with cash or check to the front office.
Are kids invited?
Yes! Children can attend for free! There is a kid’s meal ticket for purchase. While the auction has historically been an adult-only event, this is a time for NDE parents, family, and staff to get together, have some fun, and raise money for those important programs that we’ve come to expect from our school. Ruhstaller Farms is a family friendly venue.
Our annual goal as a PTA is to raise $80,000 to cover our annual budget. The money raised at the auction greatly helps attain this goal and our mission to support the many essential programs paid for by the NDE PTA. This year’s PTA budget included funding for reading programs, music (choir, the school musical, performance by B Street Theater), grade-level and program grants, fitness programs, assemblies, Books Count, the gardening program, and fieldtrips, as well as many other PTA supported programs and equipment.
Do we have to take the shuttle?
No, you can definitely drive yourself to and from the event. Parking can be tight at Ruhstaller, so we wanted to give families an easy means of transportation.
Am I required to buy things at the auction in order to attend?
No! Enjoy a whole lot of socializing with other NDE parents and students. Once inside, you don’t have to spend a dime – although there are many great deals to be found!
Do you have to go to the auction to bid on items?
No, you can do all your bidding online if you do not attend the event. Since all bidding will be performed online, all items will remain open online during the auction. No won items will be distributed at the auction, so you do not need to worry about attending to pick anything up.
How will I get the items I won?
Won items will be distributed at school the week following the auction and we will send out an email with details.
What kind of cool stuff is at the auction?
We have opportunities for students to be the Principal, Assistant Principal, Librarian, or Activities Coordinator for the Day!, Yeti cooler filled with beverages, wine tastings, themed baskets from each grade level (Kindergarten: Mad Science, 1st grade: Cooking/Food, 2nd grade: Shop Local, 3rd grade: Road Trip, 4th Grade: Family Fun, 5th Grade: Sports-palooza, and 6th grade: Travel), museum tickets, crafting parties, train passes, Scandia passes, Go-cart passes, Golf outings, Purre Barre and Club Pilates classes, and much much more! Donations continue to come in. Check out our sponsors on this page!.
How can I help to make the auction a success for NDE?
