October is tomorrow!  Davis, along with cities across the country, has decided to enter the challenge of Car Free October.  To support our city, our kids health, and our environment, the elementary schools are doing their part.  There will be a district-wide elementary school challenge, with a prize (to be announced) for the school with the largest number of students walking/biking/carpooling/taking public transportation to school.  The tracking is done through the Active4me program, so register today or stop by the…

Jog-a-thon forms will go home September 11, 2015. The jog-a-thon will be held during school on September 24th. If you can help, let your teacher know or drop a note in the PTA box in the office. Our goal is for every student to raise $20.

Beginning elementary music students and their parents should attend one of the following meetings: Strings, 4th-6th grades: Thurs. (9/3), Tues. (9/8), Wed. (9/9), Thurs. (9/10), 7:30 p.m., Patwin Elementary School, Band, 5th-6th grades:  Tues. (9/8), Wed. (9/9), 7:30 p.m., Davis High School Auditorium If access to an instrument is a limitation to your participation, then school instruments are available. Auction ticket prices update … Tickets will remain at $25 per ticket through the end of this week, August 28th. Buy your tickets and join the 40 plus other NDE parents who have purchased them!

MAY IS BIKE MONTH—Final Announcements We had great success with our May is Bike Month competitions and weekly activities.   We WON the district-wide Root Beer Float Party (compliments of Whole Foods) for having the most students scan in on Bike to School Day.   We WON the 3-week Willet Competition and enjoyed the dunk tank on Wednesday, May 27th.   Mrs. Lovitt’s class won the classroom competition (for most students scanning in the most days during May) and they enjoyed snow cones on Thursday,…
